OK, last year was a diet disaster. It was also a fitness disaster. While I could come of with some mighty fine excuses, that is all they would be, excuses. There is no excuse for my eating habits. I couldn't really control a lot of my injuries last year, but I could of, and should of controlled my eating. I didn't, and its over now. Today is a new day, and a new year to boot.
So I am choosing to look towards the future. My main health/fitness goal for the year, is to lose 100 lbs by next year. It is very doable, if I just stick with the plan. I still hope to someday run a marathon. Time will tell on that one. But right now I am just focusing on eating less, and walking more.

APRIL FOOLS DAY
Probably a fitting day to start this blog. It was our first 80 degree day of the year, with the car showing 85 at one point. I walked 3.2 miles tonight, in 61 minutes. All of my times are actual, and most of my mileage is estimated, depending on the route i walk. More about my purpose for the blog will come later, as will my goals.
But first some catching up to do. I started my program on Wed. March 10, and weighed in at 280. I walked 2.2 miles that day, in 45 minutes. My March totals are, 42.47 miles in 14 hours and 18 minutes of walking, spread out over 14 days of actual walking, with 7 days off. My longest walk was 7.5 miles on the beautiful Katy Trail in Dallas, Texas. That walk took 2 hours and 12 minutes, and i felt surprisingly good the next day.
