No walking yet. Knee felt a little better today, but got stiffer as the day went on, as well as more swollen. I didn't eat breakfast or lunch, as I felt stuffed after the weekends gorging. Dinner was 2 bowls of curried chicken, and a little chicken salad.

My knee feels a little better today. We had a huge breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, blueberry pancakes, and chocolate milk. Lunch was great curry chicken and rice.

DAY 13--16.8 lbs lost

I had a great weigh in, probably the last good one for a few days. I had a green smoothie for breakfast and lunch. Then the boys got home for father's day festivities. We had some great nachos and dip for an appetiser. Then we had great pork tenderloin, asparagus, mashed potatos, and corn. Then the boys and I went to the park to play some basketball. We planned on just shooting around, but that quickly turned to a game of 2 on 2. And on the 3rd play of the game, I somehow messed my knee up. Not sure if i twisted it, sprained it or what, but it hurt like heck. We went ahead and finished the game, but I didn't move much. After a quick dip in the pool, I took a quick shower, had some fantastic homemade strawberry shortcake, watched a little tv, and limped to bed. Other than the knee, it was a really fun day.

DAY 10--15.4 lbs lost

Another great day! Smoothie for breakfast, fruit for lunch and mid afternoon snack, and a big green smoothie for dinner. The only disappointment was my walk. I went out with every intention of walking 6 miles tonight, But every half mile, I met a neighbor that wanted to visit. So I did more standing and talking than walking. Oh well, still a great day. I am very hopeful that tomorrow my second digit is a 4!!!!!

DAY 9--12.8 lbs lost

Had a good night sleep. Another smoothie for breakfast. Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, carrots, and a banana for lunch. A late afternoon snack of cherries and another banana. Did some odd jobs at home, and then went for my ride. It was a great evening, and I had a great ride. I obviously didn't go very far, but right now I just want to keep moving. I will go faster later, but I'm sure I will never run, walk, or ride fast. Dinner was another great smoothie. Another excellent day, and I'm sure tomorrow's weigh in will be excellent too!

WEEK 1-- 11.6 lbs lost

Had a pretty good day. Due to yesterday's feasting, I wasn't in the mood for any breakfast today. Lunch was a banana, an apple, and a handful of blueberries and blackberries. I got on the treadmill as soon as I got home, and that went ok. I put some duct tape on my blister, and that seemed to help. My original goal was 6 miles tonight, and I decided to back that off a little. But now, after my shower, I feel pretty good. Dinner was a delcous grren smoothie. This one had a little arguella(sp?), spinach, banana. apple, blueberries, and strawberries. All in all, a pretty good day. Hope to be 253.5 or so in the morning.

 It was a pretty good first week. I'm happy enough losing 11 lbs. Hopefully I can do another 5 or so this week. But just as important as the numbers on the scale, is the minutes I exercise too. I don't want to lose it so quick that I have no energy.

DAY 7--9.8 lbs lost

Today's wt was a real stunner. I knew it would be higher, as yesterday's weight was "artificially" low. Today's food consumption was a real stunner too. The day began with a bagel covered in butter and peanut butter. Lunch was 2 hot dogs, a hamburger, chips,potato salad, and slaw at a nephews birthday party. Dinner was another bagel. I snacked on brownies and diet coke in the evening.
   Yesterday wasn't a bad day calorie wise, it just wasn't raw. Today obviously was a bad food day in every way. The hardest thing for me about my dieting, has always been family outings. So I think I am going to enjoy them, and just get back with the diet the next day. What really matters is the big picture.
 I did not walk or ride this weekend. I had hoped to ride, and never got it in. I planned on not walking, as I wanted the blisters on my feet to heal up. Tomorrow is a new day.

DAY 6-- 15.8 lbs lost

Today's weight was obviously influenced by last nights 2 hour walk in the heat. Breakfast was another spinach smoothie. I had a late lunch, and had my first non-raw food of the week.Went to a sushi place, and had some edaname(steamed soybeans). The rest of the meal was just salad, carrots, and raw fish(no rice). Although technically, I also had pickled ginger, wasabe, and soy sauce. The calories in those three would be minimal, but I'm sure lots of sodium. Later in the evening, we built a fire outside, and I did have some cheese and crackers while out visiting with some niighbors.

DAY 5-- lost 12.6 lbs

Another good day. Spinach smoothie for breakfast, 30 or so cherries for lunch, and melon for supper. After work, I went to a local trail(paved railroad track, not a woods) to walk. My goal was to walk for 2 hrs. So I cleverly walked for 55 minutes, and then turned around. This ensured that I would have to walk back, and be close to my 2 hrs. The only problem was, at about 75 minutes, I realised I was getting blisters on the bottom of both feet. And I had to walk the 2 miles back to the car. It was also close to 90 degrees, and I was struggling towards the end. Oh well, I made it. Another good day(diet and excercise way anyway)!

DAY 4--11.2 lbs lost

Another good day. Had another smooothie for breakfast, melon bowl and a peach for lunch, 15 cherries for an afternoon snack, and a whole cantelope for dinner. I came home and ate while I read for about an hour. Then hopped on the bike for a little spin. Slept from 10:30 till 4:30, and then got up and read. Can't complain about six hours sleep. I am really getting anxious to get down in the 240's. Still going well.

DAY 3-- 9 lbs lost

Its been a good day. I still didn't sleep much tho. I got up, and had a spinach, banana, apple, and blueberry smoothie. Lunch was another small bowl of  assorted melons. I left work about 1:45, and came home and laid out in the sun for an hour. I then ate 1/2 of a cantelope, and went outside and did odd jobs for a few hours. I then jumped on the treadmill, and walked for an hour. I am enjoying another smoothie, identical to this morning's. Then a shower, read a little, and hopefully off to a good night's sleep. 3 good days in a row!

DAY 2--- 6.6 lbs lost

wt 260.0 Slept about 3 hours again last night, so I didn't walk or ride again tonight. I didn't have any breakfast, as I just didn't feel up to eating. Lunch was a small bowl of strawberries, cantelope and watermelon, along with about 10 cherries. Dinner was half a cantelope, along with ten or so chunks of watermelon. Hopefully I will sleep tonight, and feel like walking in the morning. My goal is to get down to 200 lbs quickly. Along the way I hope to have the energy to exercise. September first is almost exactly 100 days. That seems like a good time. If I lose 40 the first 50 days, that only leaves 26 for the last 50 days. That would be 80 pounds for the year. That would leave me 4 months to lase the last 20, putting me at 100 lbs lost for the year. So far, so good!

Starting again

wt 266.6 I am once again going to try to lose weight. I am also once again, going to lose a lot fast. I hope to eat only raw food, and do lots of walking and bicycle riding. I got only 4 hours sleep last night, so today I did not exercise at all. I had no breakfast or lunch, as I was still full from last night's late meal(1:30am). Supper was about half a cantelope, and a small bowl of bad watermelon. Hopefully I will get a good night's sleep tonight, and be raring to go tomorrow morning.
